A Dream Come True: Coming Home to Graf Orthodontics
There are some dreams that begin so early in life that you don't even realize you're living them until years later. For me, becoming an orthodontist wasn't just about choosing a career; it was about coming home.
This July marks an incredibly special milestone as I officially join Graf Orthodontics alongside my dad, Dr. Brian Graf. It's something our family has talked about and dreamed about for years, and I still have to pinch myself knowing it's finally here.
Growing up, Graf Orthodontics was more than just my dad's office. It was where I learned the importance of hard work, kindness, and treating every patient like family. Long before dental school or orthodontic residency, I spent countless hours here working in the lab, making appliances and watching firsthand the life-changing impact a beautiful smile can have.
Those experiences planted a seed that would eventually grow into a decade-long journey.
That journey took me all over the country. I earned undergraduate degrees in Russian and Microbiology at BYU, graduated first in my class from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, and then completed my orthodontic residency and Master's degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. Every step challenged me, stretched me, and prepared me for this moment.
But through every exam, every late night studying, every clinical experience, and every milestone, I knew exactly where I wanted to end up. Home.
Returning to Utah County with my wife, Dresden, and our daughters, Quincy and Claire, has been such a blessing. We couldn't be more excited to raise our family here and become part of this wonderful community once again. One of the greatest blessings of this new chapter is getting to work alongside my family every day.
Most people know my dad, Dr. Brian Graf, whose dedication to our patients has built Graf Orthodontics into what it is today. What many people may not know is that my sister, Angie, is also an important part of our team. Getting to work with both of them—and with the incredible staff who make Graf Orthodontics such a special place—is something I don't take for granted.
Our team genuinely cares about every patient who walks through our doors. They celebrate your milestones, cheer you on, and strive to make every visit enjoyable. Their passion for serving others is one of the many reasons I always wanted to come back.
Thank you for welcoming my family back home. I'm honored to continue the tradition of exceptional orthodontic care that has been the foundation of Graf Orthodontics for so many years, and I'm excited for everything that's ahead.
Here's to new smiles, new friendships, and an exciting future together.
See you soon!
