The Graf Smile Guarantee

   Who is eligible for this program.

   Every patient of Graf Orthodontics is automatically enrolled in our Smile Guarantee program at no additional cost. There are no hidden fees and no expiration date. As long as Dr. Brandon Graf or Dr. Brian Graf are practicing at Graf Orthodontics, we will continue to honor this commitment to our patients.

   If you were not originally treated at Graf Orthodontics but would like to enroll in our Smile Guarantee program, the one-time enrollment fee is $850.00.

   What you receive

   At the end of treatment, patients receive one set of retainers, a 3D printed model of their teeth, and an extra retainer that fits on the model.

   Your Spare Retainer

   Keep your model and spare retainer somewhere safe. If the original retainer is lost, broken, or thrown away, start wearing the spare retainer right away.

   Do not miss days wearing your retainer. Even 3–5 days without wearing it may allow your teeth to shift enough that your retainer no longer fits properly. If this happens, a new scan will be required before additional retainers can be made.

   Affordable Replacement Retainers

   If you lose both your first and backup set of retainers, don’t worry—just call us right away. If you’ve been wearing your retainers consistently and contact us within 2–5 days of losing them, we can typically make replacements from your original scan that will still fit properly.

   We offer convenient at-home delivery of replacement retainers, but we’re always happy to see you in our office if you have any questions or concerns.

   Through our Smile Guarantee, replacement retainers are just $50 each, which simply covers our cost to make them. That’s a significant savings compared with the typical replacement cost of $200–$300 per retainer.

   Replacement retainers are limited to one replacement per visit and no more than three replacement retainers per year.

   Built for Lifelong Wear

   The program rewards patients who wear retainers every night and helps make lifetime retention easier to maintain.

   What happens if my teeth shift to the point that the retainers do not fit?

   If your teeth have shifted to the point that your retainers no longer fit over your teeth, please make an appointment to come see us. You can either choose to pursue re-treatment to regain that perfect smile, or, if you simply want a new retainer to hold your teeth in their current position, we will take a new scan and make your retainers from that scan. There is a $208 scanning fee, and as always, clear retainers will be made at the same price listed above.

   Again, our objective is to incentivize daily retainer wear (at night, for a lifetime). You’ve invested so much in your Graf Smile, and we want to make it as simple and affordable as possible for you to maintain that smile for life.

Summary of our Smile Guarantee

The program provides the best value when patients wear their retainers diligently. If your teeth shift too far because your retainers are not worn consistently, new retainers made from the original 3D model of your straight teeth may no longer fit properly.

If you would like new retainers that fit your teeth in their shifted position, an office visit and new scan will be required ($208). As always, new retainers made from this updated model will simply reflect our cost of making the retainer ($50 per retainer). Many choose to pursue limited re-treatment which is often shorter and much more affordable than comprehensive treatment (come see us for details on limited re-treatment).

Follow these steps:

• Keep your 3D printed models in a safe place.
• Wear retainers as directed, especially every night for long-term stability.
• Call us right away for at-home delivery of your replacement retainers, or bring in your 3D-printed models, and we can make replacements directly from them.
• Replacement retainers are limited to one replacement per visit and no more than three replacement retainers per year.

Fixed Retainers (The ones bonded to the back side of your front teeth)

We also bond fixed retainers (bonded retainers) on the back side of the lower canine-to-canine teeth when appropriate. Fixed retainers are not part of the lifetime retainer guarantee program, but we guarantee them for one year. If they break during that first year, replacement is complimentary.
